Remind-Me-Please is a reminder program which will give you advance warning of upcoming events. Enter one-off or repeating events: daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and specials like 'Every two weeks from 1/1/2008' or 'Third Sunday of each month'. Once it's set up properly it'll give you a splash screen listing all upcoming events whenever you reboot your computer, followed by a splash screen for items due NOW.

Avatar Sizer has been designed to make images smaller, quickly and easily. Ideal for making Avatars! Creating your Avatar is done using an easy to use Wizard type interface. The Wizard guides you, step by step: select the image, set the maximum size, press "Next >>" (and your Avatar is created), save your Avatar. Avatar Sizer automatically sorts out the "Aspect Ratio" of the image and uses "Smooth Resizing" to make your Avatar look as good as the original image, only smaller.

JKDefrag GUI

System - Defragmentation
Added JKDefrag GUI:
This is a GUI for JKDefrag, a disk defragment and optimization utility for Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/X64. While JKDefrag runs automaticaly and the behaviour has to be controlled by command parameters, this GUI offers you a nice, easy interface.
JKDefrag is probably the best free defragger at the moment: does a good job, handles big files well even when free drive space gets low.
This program is even portable!

yWriter

yWriter: a novel or story writing program for authors. The program lets you organize your novel as a project. It allows you to break your novel into chapters and scenes within chapters. You can reorder scenes using drag and drop, and you can print out a number of reports (summary, synopsis, scene list, work schedule).

yTimer

- yTimer: This program lets you run up to 40 countdown timers, with an audio alert and a popup window when the countdown reaches zero. You can also choose to run a program or open a URL in your default browser when the timer goes off.

Hosts file management

Introduced a new section "HOSTS file security and management" on the "Security and Privacy" page. New freeware:
- HostsXpert : a good Hosts file manager (for Win98 - Vista). Edit, update, download and merge your hosts files with ease.
- HPHOSTS file: a community managed and maintained hosts file that offers an additional layer of protection
- MVPS hosts file: This is a good, popular hosts file, regulary updated.
You can use HostsXpert to manage your hosts file. You can download both "HPHOSTS file" or "MVPS hosts file", and replace your existing hosts file with a new one from WHITIN HostsXpert!

Internet radio

Introduced a section "streaming internet radio and video" on the Multimedia page.
New freeware there:
-Radio Online: a streaming radio program that works completely whithout windows interface.
-Screamer Radio: bundles thousands of radio stations from all over the world together in one program.
-ASFRecorder: allows you to grab a streamed file to watch at a more convenient time.
